Blues Train hits New Zealand!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Blues Train will now also be part of the roster at RAG-FM 107.7FM in New Zealand! The station is snuggled in the heart of Raglan on the West Coast of the North Island in New Zealand. It is a small but perfectly formed radio station owned and run by Johny Cole, featuring some great rock n roll, classic rock, country, oldies and pop, plus much more. There is one further blues show – Back In Time Blues – so hopefully I can compliment that as well.

Blues Train will air every two weeks, on the 1st and 3rd weekends – Sunday 7-8pm NZ time [ they are currently 13 hours ahead of the UK, so I make that 6am here! ]. I’m hoping to reach some new listeners down under via RAG-FM and am very pleased Johny feels the show is good enough for his station.

Please come and ‘like’ the Facebook group to keep on top of the station news as it happens:

  1. Dear Blues Train,

Congrats on your new show and thank you for supporting roots-blues.

My name is Steve Sainas, leader, and guitarist/singer/songwriter of the Vancouver, BC based roots-blues duo/band, Mud Dog.

I am writing you in order to please receive airplay consideration for our new CD, Mud Dog ~ Sun, released July 2011. Christopher Allen (Harmonica/Harmony Vocals) and I recorded “Sun” live off the floor at Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee while we were there competing at the 2011 International Blues Challenge. “Sun” features ten original songs that capture the raw energy of our duo’s live acoustic performances.

We released our new CD, Mud Dog~”SUN” last July and last month we teamed with Bryon Tosoff at Voodoohead Productions who is working hard to get our songs out to international radio on Radio Submit. We are already getting downloads and great reviews from radio across Canada, USA, Australia, Europe and the UK. Last month, SUN climbed to #24 on the Canadian Roots Music Charts. We are hoping, with your support, SUN will continue to chart.

As we are an indie band, mailing out CDs is cost prohibitive for our very small budget. We are hoping you will please consider downloading our tunes from our Radio Submit site. It’s a free music downloading media delivery service for DJs and Music Programmers that will give access to thousands of songs internationally simply by signing up for free and instantly receiving your user name and password. We have 15 songs including 6 tracks from our “SUN” CD uploaded for you to consider for radio play. Please check out our tunes at http://www.radiosubmit.com/rs/Mud_Dog/

    Thank you for your support!

    Steve
